Great hotel at a great price, very clean room and an overall comfortable stay, the clerk was vey nice and made checking in quick and easy.
We stayed overnight after a concert at the Espee. It's located across the street from the Espee parking area so the location was ideal. It's a small building and nothing fancy but it was clean and the AC was nice and cold! The staff were so nice and friendly and the price was affordable. Will definitely book there again for a concert.
Stayed a night here this week with my wife for an event at the Alamodome. It was just the right spot: quick and easy access, friendly service, clean rooms, very affordable, and in very close distance to major attractions.
The rooms were cozy and spotless. The hotel hasn’t a grocery store or vending machines with essentials like shampoo and toothpaste. The vending machine at the aisle was old and ate my cash, and it wouldn’t accept credit cards either. Oh, and I lost my ID at check-in, the receptionist didn’t return it. I realized the next day when I left the city. I booked my stay on Booking.com, and the prices were pretty reasonable.
We got off of Amtrak and called around to see if we could find a room. This place was inexpensive and convenient. We can see the Amtrak train from our room!! The front desk clerk was so very nice and helpful. We will make this our designated place to stay when we ride in on Amtrak!
Right down the street from the downtown area. They take good care of this place no trash laying around outside and its clean
If you're looking for a cheap clean place just to hang your hat while traveling this is it. I see some reviews are negative because they don't offer breakfast. In my opinion breakfast is usually a scam you're paying more for the room and the complimentary breakfast is usually sub par in my experiences. You're better off just going right down the street to Denny's where I had an awesome breakfast. The rooms are clean the housekeeping staff does a great job. Danny at the front desk is very polite. I had a microwave fridge nice television clean bathroom etc. It was perfect for me on my way to South Padre Island as it's right by the train station. Amtrak will only take me as far south as San Antonio. Great job City View Hotel!
Fantastic hotel! The man at the desk was super nice and friendly. We were in town for the Paul McCartney concert on a festival weekend, so parking was scarce and pricey. He made sure we had a spot the whole weekend. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. Super easy walking distance to the Dome and Riverwalk. Overall maybe the best stay I've ever had at a hotel. Will definitely return. Thank you so much!
